Every clinician has their own way of speaking, names, spellings, and phrases that make your notes personal but don’t always show up in a standard medical lexicon.

Now, Tali can learn directly from you.

We’re excited to introduce Personal Dictionary, a new feature that lets you teach Tali the words that matter most. From your patients’ names to your clinic’s spelling. Once added, Tali begins learning these words as part of your personal vocabulary, improving transcription accuracy over time.

You’ll find Personal Dictionary in your Settings in the web app. From there, you can:

Add a custom word or name (for example, “Dr. Dzitkewich”)

Optionally record a short sample of how you say it

Save it to your list

Tali will use your custom vocabulary to recognise and transcribe those words more accurately in future encounters.

Personal Dictionary is available to all Tali users in English through the web app, and once set up, your custom terms follow you everywhere you use Tali, including the Chrome extension, desktop, and mobile apps.

👉 Try it now

Built for real-world care.

We know you’re juggling a lot, and the last thing you need is clutter or distractions during a visit. So we cleaned things up.

Our latest update is all about giving you what matters most:

Smarter transcription that works quietly in the background

Improved voice detection, so background chatter stays out of your notes

Better accuracy across the board

A calmer, cleaner interface to help you stay in the flow with your patient

Quiet notes? No problem.

Add non-verbal notes during your encounter, from mental status observations to key visit details or pre-visit notes, all without interrupting your flow. The new Additional Context field makes silent documentation simple.

Worried about losing something mid-visit? We’ve got you.

Your notes are now saved gradually as you speak behind the scenes, dramatically reducing the chance of losing anything, even if something unexpected happens mid-visit.

Always Know You’re Recording

No more second-guessing. An easy visual way to ensure your recording is consistently active. A clean new animation confirms Tali is working, so you can stay focused on your patient without second-guessing.

Less Clutter, More Care: Why Simplicity Matters

We’ve cleaned up your interface with one simple goal: helping you stay focused on your patient. You will no longer see a live transcription of your conversation with the patient. Instead, a subtle animation confirms your recording is in progress. If you need to view the transcript, just click the “Transcribing” button.

This smarter transcription feels live, but with higher accuracy and less distraction.

Looking Ahead

We’re not done yet! We’re expanding language support across all platforms, and very soon, we’ll be launching over 20+ new languages. This expansion is part of our ongoing commitment to support diverse patient populations and help clinicians provide care in the languages their patients speak.

We’re also preparing to launch a Personal Dictionary that will let you teach Tali the exact medical terms and pronunciations you use most often. That means fewer edits, better accuracy, and smarter support for the way you practice. Whether it’s drug names, uncommon conditions, or just the way you say things, Tali will learn it, directly from you.

Have thoughts or questions?
